DX51D+Z is a national standard for hot-dip galvanized steel sheet. Where “D” stands for flat steel for cold forming, “X” denotes the steel grade, and “Z” stands for hot-dip galvanized. This material has good corrosion resistance, strength and hardness, and is suitable for use in construction, manufacturing and the automotive industry, among others.
DX52D+2 is a stampable grade of galvanized sheet. This material is suitable for applications that require deep-drawing and complex molding.DX52D+2 has a thicker zinc layer that provides better corrosion resistance while maintaining good processability.
DX53D+Z is typically made with a DC03 or DC04 substrate, whereas DX51D+Z is galvanized with a DC01 substrate. DC03 or DC04 contains less carbon than DC01, resulting in higher elongation, better stamping, and better ductility. DX53D+Z is typically priced higher than DX51D+Z due to its more complex manufacturing process, providing higher mechanical properties.
